Who We Are

First, my name is Roger Waters and I am the host for this site. I’ve been in the fire service for 31 years. I have recently retired as the Fire Chief for Cloquet Area Fire District on Cloquet Minnesota. Before Cloquet Fire I was the Operations Chief for Greeley Fire department, Greeley Colorado. My passion has always been with the fire service. My focus throughout my career was to always strive to be the best firefighter and officer possible. I’ve always told myself be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem.

The “we” is the group of Fire Service Leaders that I have proudly learn from and have had the honor to teach and work with. You will meet many of them within the pages of my blog and during my classes and seminars.

This blog and website are about passion for leadership and the fire service. It’s about being your best.
